The Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople, His All Holiness Bartholomew I, today convenes the 3rd International Halki Conference on Theological Formation and Ecological Awareness, which lasts until June 4.
The conference brings together some 50 distinguished theologians and specialists from 40 seminaries and institutes around the world.
The international conference is considered as a scientific roundtable, where participants will hear addresses and presentations by noted environmental theologians, as well as discussing ways in which environmental awareness can be promoted by Orthodox seminaries and higher education institutions.
