On Tuesday evening, 7 March 2023, with the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, His Grace Bishop Silouan of Sinope conducted the Agiasmos blessing of the school year for the Byzantine Music School of Australia Adelaide Branch.
All students and staff of the Byzantine Music School attended the blessing which took place at the Holy Monastery of St Nectarios. It is at the facilities of the Holy Monastery that the lessons take place on a weekly basis.
His Grace Bishop Silouan conveyed the prayers and love of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios to the staff and students and spoke to the students about the power of chanting especially when we are faced with temptations. When faced with temptations, chanting is a way that we can escape from them and bring peace to our lives.
Lessons are held every Tuesday evening from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm at the facilities of the Holy Monastery of St Nectarios, Croydon Park.
