On the Sunday of the Cross on March 27, 2022, at St. Innocent of Irkutsk Orthodox (OCA) Cathedral in Anchorage, Alaska, preeminent digital media expert Correna A. Panagiotou was in attendance at the enthronement of her longtime friend His Grace Bishop Alexis Trader as the Ruling Hierarch of Sitka and All Alaska.
Correna and her husband the theologian Dr. John G. Panagiotou have been close friends with His Grace for over two decades going back to his time as a monk at Karakallou Monastery on Mt. Athos, his doctoral studies at the University of Thessaloniki, and his tenure as the chaplain of a convent in northern Greece.
Bishop Alexis wrote the foreword to Dr. Panagiotou’s best-selling book The Path to Oikonomia with Jesus Christ as Our Lighthouse [OCP Publications, 2020].
