At the Patriarchal See of Alexandria on April 20, His Beatitude Theodore II of Alexandria received the Chorbishop and head of the Chaldean Catholic Church in Egypt, Pavlos.
The Chorbishop conveyed heartfelt Paschal greetings and the thanks of Mar Paul III Nona for the Patriarch’s congratulatory letter following his election.
During the meeting, Patriarch Theodore II offered prayers for suffering peoples especially in the Middle East emphasizing that the Light of the Resurrection is the only firm source of hope, calling all to reconciliation, solidarity, and peace born from the human heart.
He also extended his blessings to the Christians of Iraq and to church leaders across Mesopotamia for strength in their ministry.
The visit concluded with an exchange of gifts, as the Chorbishop presented an honorary plaque, while His Beatitude offered an episcopal encolpion. Present was Damaskinos of Mareotis, Patriarchal Commissioner of Alexandria, alongside members of the Chaldean Church in Egypt.
