With the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros, the Direct Archdiocesan District joyfully announces the official assignment of Rev. Presbyter Joseph Collins as Proistamenos of the Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church in Stamford, Connecticut.
Father Joseph Collins is a graduate of Hellenic College and Holy Cross School of Theology. He was ordained to the Holy Diaconate in 2015 and to the Holy Priesthood in 2016. Since then, he has served the Church faithfully as Proistamenos in Poughkeepsie, NY, and later as Head Pastor of Holy Apostles in Cheyenne, WY, where he also ministered to neighboring parishes and campus ministries.
On August 1, 2025, Father Joseph began his assignment as Proistamenos of the Archangels Church in Stamford, bringing with him nearly a decade of pastoral experience. He and his wife, Presvytera Melanie, are blessed with three children: Ty Stephen, Mikalya, and Joseph Demetrios.
