On March 2, 2023, His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros met with His Excellency Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of San Francisco. The leaders discussed the pastoral needs of their respective faithful, and, in light of last month’s Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, they also spoke to the areas in which both Orthodox and Catholic clergy have worked together in recent years. His Eminence was accompanied by H.E. Metropolitan Gerasimos of San Francisco and His Grace Bishop Ioannis of Phocaea.
The meeting took place during His Eminence’s pastoral visit to the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of San Francisco from Saturday February 25 to Friday, March 3, 2023.
