Archbishop Ieronymos: We should be close to God and take care of each other

“Our times need to be close to God and take care of each other,” stressed Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece, from the Holy Chapel of the Pammegiston Taxiarchon in Pedion Areos, where he presided over the festive Vespers.
The Divine Speech was proclaimed by the Protosyncellus of the Archdiocese, Varnavas Theocharis, who referred, among other things, to the Feast of the Archangels, stressing that “in the feast of angels let us offer them a gift, our repentance today and throughout our lives.”

Speaking about the crisis of recent years, the Archbishop pointed out that “during all these stone years that the Greek people spent, it was volunteering that helped overcome the difficulties. Volunteering preserves all charity work.”

He added that the meaning of life is to love God with all our strength and our fellow human as ourselves, stressing that “Greece, especially in our time, needs us to be close to God and stand by the man.”
