The Archbishop of America, His Eminence Elpidophoros, this week received Turkey’s new consul general in New York, Reyhan Özgür. The latter visited the headquarters of the Archdiocese of America, according to a post by the Archbishop on his official social media account.
In particular, the Archbishop of America stated that “…We welcomed the new Turkish Consul General in New York today at the Archdiocese Headquarters. Our commitment to dialogue is part of the ministry of reconciliation and understanding.”
