The Archbishop of Athens and All Greece, His Beatitude Ieronymos, on Friday received Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias at the Archdiocese in Athens, with current affairs discussed, in the wake of the latter’s recent visit to Libya and pending visit to Turkey.
Dendias said that before going to Ankara, he will pay a visit to the Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople, His All Holiness Bartholomew I and “light a candle at the Ecumenical Patriarchate”.
On his part, the Archbishop noted that he had an opportunity to discuss various issues of common interest – national, economic, the pandemic, as well as Church-state relations that are under the foreign ministry jurisdiction.
