The Archbishop of Australia, His Eminence Makarios, this week officiated at the ceremony of newly ordained deacon Panagiotis Simos.
In welcoming the new deacon to the priestly family of the Holy Archdiocese of Australia, His Eminence noted that “…you are to convince the people that they should rejoice. In a society of sadness and depression, we need joy more than ever.”
