The Archbishop of Australia, His Eminence Makarios, on Sunday paid a pastoral visit to the parish-community of the Resurrection of Christ, in the Kogarah district of Sydney.
The Archbishop officiated at the Divine Liturgy on the feast day of St. Paul the Confessor, Archbishop of Constantinople, and then participated in the 46th ‘Walkathon’, organized by the Greek Welfare Centre.
Back in southeast Europe, the Patriarch of All Romania, His Beatitude Daniel, referred to a monumental work at one of the most sacred sites for Romanian Orthodox faithful, speaking on the occasion of the 500th anniversary of the consecration of the Church of St. George at the Holy Monastery of great-martyr John the New of Suceava, in November 1522.
