The Archbishop of Australia, His Eminence Makarios, issued a plea for donations for one of the Church’s faithful, Dimitris Garbas, who is battling with muscular sclerosis since September 2017.
The goal of a fund-raising campaign is to send Dimitris to Russia for treatment that involves stem cell transplantation, which reportedly features a success rate of 85 percent in interrupting the progress of this nervous system disease.
