Numerous faithful and congregants attended the archieratical Vesper at the celebrating Cathedral of St. Demetrios, at the same-name and dedicated municipality in the central Athens, on the eve of the feast day of Demetrios the Myrrh-streamer & Great Martyr of Thessaloniki.
The service was officiated by the Archdiocese of Athens’ Bishop of Roges, His Grace Filotheos, and co-officiated by several hierarchs and clerics of the Archdiocese.
In the south-central city of Halkida, a con-celebratory Vespers was solemnly held at the celebrating Cathedral of St. Demetrios, officiated by the visiting Metropolitan of Gortynia and Megalopoli, His Eminence Nikiforos, and co-officiated by the resident Metropolitan, His Eminence Chrysostomos.
