The First Secretary of the Holy Synod of the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Greece, Archimandrite Filotheos Theoharis, was ordained as the Bishop of Oreoi, during a service on Tuesday officiated by the Archbishop of Athens and All Greece, His Beatitude Ieronymos.
His Beatitude later praised the abilities and knowledge of the new bishop, while referring to the very substantial post that he retains as the First Secretary of the Church of Greece’s Holy Synod.
