Clergy and laity expressed their best wishes for good health and fortitude, as well as appreciation, to the Archbishop of Durres, Tirana and All Albania, His Beatitude Anastasios, for his more than three decades of tireless efforts on the throne of the Albanian Church.
His Beatitude attended a Divine Liturgy on Sunday at the Metropolitan Cathedral of the Resurrection of the Lord in Tirana, officiated by the Metropolitan of Amantia, His Eminence Nathanial, the First Secretary of the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Albania.
Archbishop Anastasios in 2022 commemorated the 30-year anniversary of his election and enthronement on the Archdiocese Throne of the Albanian Orthodox Church and the half-century mark since his ordination as an Orthodox bishop.
On the occasion, the Parliament of Greece’s television station broadcast a documentary on the hierarch’s five decades of pastoral and ecclesiastical milestones.
