Bidzina Ivanishvili, Chairman of the Georgian Dream party, met with Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II, – the Patriarchate reports.
“Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia hosted Mr. Bidzina Ivanishvili together with the clergy on April 11. Among other issues, the problems of the population and, in general, the socio-economic situation in the country were discussed at the meeting. According to Mr. Bidzina Ivanishvili, the state will promote creation of jobs for the unemployed and rpeperation of qualified staff, who will have the opportunity to work abroad.
The importance of protection of strong families and correct upbringing of the next generation for any country and, more importantly, for our country was noted at the meeting. It was also noted that it was welcome to announce education as a priority of the country and to allocate large funds in this direction.
His Holiness showed Mr. Bidzina Ivanishvili the works ongoing in the Holy Trinity Cathedral, which is financed by Cartu Bank. Mr. Bidzina Ivanishvili expressed readiness to fully fund the painting of the Holy Trinity Cathedral.
At the end of the meeting, the Catholicos-Patriarch blessed Mr. Bidzina Ivanishvili and wished him success,” reads the information released by the Patriarchate.
