By the decision of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, His Grace Bishop Kyrillos of Erythres is the new Abbot of the Holy Trinity Patriarchal and Stavropegial Monastery, where the famous Theological School of Halki is located as well. Bishop Kyrillos will also assume the responsibilities of the Metropolis of Bursa.
Until now, these ecclesiastical roles were the responsibility of Metropolitan Elpidophoros, who was recently elected and will soon be enthroned as the new Archbishop of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America.
