The Bishop of Charioupolis, His Grace Bartholomew, with the blessing of the Archbishop of Australia, His Eminence Makarios, performed the annual Sanctification of the Waters ceremony in Hobart, the capital of the large island of Tasmania, on the occasion of Friday’s Theophany of Our Lord and Savior, the great feast day also known as the Epiphany.
His Grace was joined during the ceremony by the two resident Greek Orthodox priests on the island, Fr. Irineos Koikas and Fr. Demetrios Katsis.
