The Holy Synod of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church this week announced that it will request a meeting with the country’s labor and social policy minister in order to discuss a legislative initiative affecting minors and the family unit.
The Church in Bulgaria is opposed certain provisions in the foreseen law, charging that they will allow the state’s intervention into a family’s private affairs.
