Thirteen Patriarchs and Primates of Christian Churches in Jerusalem have issued an Easter Message, stressing they are praying for a lasting peace throughout the world and urging for the multi-religious and multi-cultural status of Jerusalem to be maintained.
The statement reads:
“….The Feast of the Resurrection reminds us that human dignity is to be respected and honored … Jerusalem is a beacon of hope, the spiritual leaders call on believers to pray for the regions of violence and distress and for women and children who face violence”
