On the afternoon of Christmas Eve, December 24, 2025, His Eminence Metropolitan Cleopas of Sweden and All Scandinavia presided over the service of Vespers at the Saint George Cathedral of Stockholm, delivering a timely address.
On Christmas Day, December 25, 2025, the Shepherd of the Scandinavian Countries celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the aforementioned Cathedral, assisted by the Parish Priest of the church, the Very Reverend Archimandrite Bartholomew Iatridis.
The hymns of the feast were rendered by the church’s large choir in both the Greek and Swedish languages.
The Patriarchal Encyclical for Christmas was read, and at the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy His Eminence congratulated Dr. Vasiliki Vasila, who is responsible for the Sunday School ministry, for her preparation of the Christmas carols, which were previously performed by the children and warmly applauded by the congregation.
Concluding his address, he invoked the blessing of the infant Lord upon the members of the Greek community in Sweden and Scandinavia in general, and offered his wishes for the coming new year for health, progress, prosperity, and peace.
