The Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem remains open to worshippers and pilgrims, and is also conducting Church services. However, the Patriarchate of Jerusalem underlines that due to precautions for the Covid-19 pandemic, the presence of worshippers is limited within the Holy Site.
According to reports, the cathedral remains closed when services are not conducted.
The development comes as discussions are ongoing over the ceremony of the Holy Light at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, held at midnight on Holy Saturday before Easter Sunday.
