The Archbishop of Athens and All Greece, His Beatitude Ieronymos, was received on Tuesday afternoon by Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis at the Maximos Mansion government house in central Athens.
According to reports, and as expected, Church-state relations dominated the talks, and especially issues considered as imperative by the Church’s hierarchs.
Among others, it was agreed that a committee of dialogue – comprised of representatives of both the Church and the state – will resume, and cover all pending issues, such as the teaching of religious classes in public schools and the exploitation of Church property.
