A con-celebratory archieratical Vesper was held at the St. Efstathios Cathedral in the Nea Ionia district of west Athens on Wednesday, officiated by the newly elected Metropolitan of Aetolia & Akarnania, His Eminence Damaskinos, and in the presence of the Archbishop of Athens and All Greece, His Beatitude Ieronymos.
In northern Greece, and specifically in the city of Katerini, an archieratical service was held at the celebrating St. George Cathedral of Nea Peristasi, on the occasion of the Translation of the Holy Relics of St. George the Great Martyr.
The con-celebratory service was officiated by the resident Metropolitan of Kitrous, His Eminence Georgios. A similar festal service was held on Wednesday at the celebrating Cathedral of St. George, in the southern city of Nafplio.
