The Metropolitan of Symi, His Eminence Chrysostomos, visited the extreme southeast Aegean islet of Ro this week, where he officiated at the Divine Liturgy at the islet’s small chapel, attended by national guard personnel stationed on Ro.
His Eminence Chrysostomos also officiated at a memorial service for the late Despina Achladioti, the well-known “Lady of Ro”, who for some 40 years raised the Greek flag on the island’s highest mast.
Ro is located near the inhabited isle of Kastellorizo.
