The Metropolitan of Petra and Heronissos, His Eminence Gerasimos, on Sunday officiated at the Orthros and Divine Liturgy at the Catholicos, or main cathedral, of the Monastery of the Panaghia Kroustallenia, on the occasion of the Battle of the Lasithi Plateau, in late May 1867, during the three-year Cretan Revolt on the large island.
A Doxology memorial service followed for the fallen of the Battle of Lasithi.
