Early Byzantine-era chapel discovered in central Bulgaria

A small early Byzantine church, constructed from rock blocks and brick layers, and with a floor lined with ceramic tiles, was discovered by archaeologists near the town of Gabrovo, in central Bulgaria.

The Church was dated to the 6th century, based on coins found during the excavation.
