This evening, in the Venerable Patriarchal Church of St. George at the Phanar, a Doxology service brought together His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and His Holiness Pope Leo XIV in a profound manifestation of the “dialogue of love” between the Sister Churches of East and West.

In the solemn and luminous atmosphere of the Thronal Feast of the Holy Great Church of Christ and the commemoration of the Apostle Andrew, the First-Called, the two Primates stood side by side in prayer, surrounded by hierarchs of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, representatives of the Church of Rome, parliamentarians, members of the diplomatic corps, and pilgrims from across the oikoumene, including His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America.

The chanting of psalms and hymns, the proclamation of the readings, and the rising incense before the holy icons transformed the Phanar into a living symbol of reconciliation and hope, linking the recent common pilgrimage to Nicaea with the enduring hope for the reestablishment of visible unity grounded in dialogue, love and communion.
