The Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople, His All Holiness Bartholomew I, arrived in Greece today, and specifically at the Alexander the Great Airport near the northeastern coastal city of Kavala, to begin a multi-day pastoral visit in the north of the country.
Beginning on Friday, His All-Holiness will commence a two-day pilgrimage to the semi-autonomous monastic community of Mount Athos, after first visiting the northern metropolis of Thessaloniki.

To coincide with the Ecumenical Patriarch’s pastoral visit, an interview was broadcast by Greek public television, where His All Holiness refers to, among others, the tragedy of war in Ukraine and the stance taken by the Russian Orthodox Church.
