The Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople, His All Holiness Bartholomew I, continued the latter part of his pastoral visit to northern Greece.
On Sunday evening, His All Holiness arrived by foot with his Patriarchal entourage at the Metropolitan Cathedral of the Transformation of the Savior, in the Kalamaria district of east Thessaloniki, where he was welcomed by the Metropolitan of Nea Krini and Kalamaria, His Eminence Ioustinos, as well as local office-holders, clergy and hundreds of faithful.
The Ecumenical Patriarch arrived in east Thessaloniki after a three-day pilgrimage and stay at the semi-autonomous monastic community of Mount Athos.
