The Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople, His All Holiness Bartholomew I, on Monday officiated at the great Vesper service, on the eve of today’s feast day of St. Eustathios, the Great Martyr.
As per ecclesiastical rite, the service was held in the Patriarchal chapel of St. Andrew the First Called, which is located in the Patriarchal residence.
A trisagion memorial service was also held for the repose of the soul of major 19th century Ecumenical Patriarchate benefactor Eustathios Evgenidis.
