According to an official announcement, on Friday, 1 August 2025, at 4:30 p.m., His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew will preside over the Service of the First Supplicatory Canon (Paraklesis) to the Most Holy Theotokos.
The service will be held at the Patriarchal Church of St. George in the Phanar, marking the beginning of the Dormition Fast, a sacred period of prayer and spiritual preparation leading up to the Feast of the Dormition of the Theotokos on 15 August.
