On Saturday, 27 September, the Ecumenical Patriarch will attend the opening of the photography exhibition by Giannis Giannatos, “Mount Athos – Beyond the Visible,” at the exhibition hall of the Thessaloniki Administrative Building (YMATH). The exhibition features glimpses of daily life in the monastic state and is scheduled to be transferred to the Council of Europe in Strasbourg on 29 September, organised and initiated by the Holy Monastery of Vatopedi, with the support and sponsorship of the Aigeas Foundation.
On Sunday morning, 28 September, the Ecumenical Patriarch will preside over the Divine Liturgy at the historic Church of Saint George in the Rotunda. At 7:00 p.m., His All-Holiness will attend a celebratory event marking the 25th anniversary of the founding of the “Aghioritiki Estia” at the Olympion Cinema-Theatre.
On Monday afternoon, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew will inaugurate the three-day conference of the Theological Journal “Theologia” at the Church of Saint Dimitrios in Thessaloniki. The Patriarch’s schedule also includes visits to local educational institutions and ecclesiastical establishments. The Patriarch will depart from Thessaloniki on Wednesday, 1 October 2025.
