The Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople, His All Holiness Bartholomew I, sent greetings and a congratulatory letter to the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, His Holiness and Beatitude, Ilia II on the occasion of his namesake on Monday, as based on the Julian calendar.
In his letter, the Ecumenical Patriarch states: …“In the tradition of Orthodoxy, the holidays are a time of thanksgiving, in the Church, to the always charitable Lord of mercy. We experience in them the full presence of God in the life of the world, rejuvenated and enriched…”
