The Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople, His All Holiness Bartholomew I, accompanied by Bishop Paisios of Xanthoupolis and members of the Greek Orthodox Diaspora, on Tuesday morning visited the fire brigade headquarters of the Metropolitan Municipality of Constantinople, where he was received by the department’s leadership.
The Ecumenical Patriarch expressed the sincere gratitude of the Church to the officers of the fire brigade for their heroic efforts in extinguishing the fire and saving the residents of the Balukli nursing home.
