The Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople, His All Holiness Bartholomew I, on Thursday visited the town hall of the Bosporus metropolis, where he extended his congratulations to newly elected mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu.
In his comments, the Ecumenical Patriarch echoed his statement immediately following Imamoglu’s repeat election victory last month, calling for a “…sincere dialogue” with all facets of the metropolis’ society and for respect for human and minority rights.
