The Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople, His All Holiness Bartholomew I, on Sunday afternoon presided at the Great Vespers service at the Cathedral of the Panaghia Koumariotissa Orthodox Church in the Bosporus metropolis, and specifically at the Yeniköy district, known in the past as Neohorion.
The service and the Patriarch’s visit was part of the Theotokia 2019 series of events, organized by the Greek Orthodox community of Neohorion, on the occasion of the annual Aug. 15 Feast Day of the Dormition of the Theotokos and Ever Virgin Mary.
