His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew visited a historic building on Saturday, 22 August, as part of his visit to Kyzikos.
The imposing three-storey school of Panormos in Kyzikos (Bandırma), constructed in 1906, dominates the hill northwest of the city, near the harbour. Until 1922, it housed the Orthodox community’s Boys’ School, which had 300 students. Today, the building functions as a teachers’ club and school of fine arts.
