The Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople, His All Holiness Bartholomew I, on Tuesday led a delegation of members of the Patriarchate’s Holy Synod in a visit to the Metropolis of Ganos and Chora, in the Bosporus metropolis.
The Ecumenical Patriarchate delegation was received by the His Eminence Amphilochios, Metropolitan of Ganos and Chora. The hierarchs visited a newly acquired diocese building and its chapel, dedicated to St. Amphilochios of Patmos, where a prayer service was held.
In the afternoon, a pilgrimage was held at the site where the St. John the Theologian Monastery, in the Chora district, once stood.
