Well-known Serbian film director Emir Kusturica this week, in an interview with the magazine International Affairs, referred to what he called “new western consumer models” that damage Christian identity.
Moreover, the award-winning filmmaker warned that tactics often employed by multinationals smother his creativity and freedom.
Kusturica, while discussing the ongoing global crisis, spoke about the principles and values of Orthodox Christian civilization, which he said clash with a new model of man often being promoted in the West, namely, that the latter has no need for God in a vulnerable world, one where humanity is easily manipulated, like a flock of sheep.
