The civil governor of Mount Athos, Athanasios Martinos, met on Friday with Greek deputy interior minister Stavros Kalafatis, who also holds the Macedonia-Thrace portfolio.
Talks focused on cooperation between the semi-autonomous monastic community’s with the ministry on issues dealing with the activities and work of the Centre for the Preservation of the Holy Mount (Mount Athos) Heritage (KEDAK).
Martinos is the vice-president of the center.
