An event was held at the Russia House in Belgrade this week on the occasion of the Feast Day of Sts. Peter and Fevronia, the patrons saints of the Russian Orthodox Church for the family, love and fidelity.
The Patriarch of Serbia, His Holiness Irinej, attended the event.
Referring to the Feast Day, the Serbian Patriarch stressed that “…may the Lord bless our homes, and may we encourage people to have children, so that the severe demographic crisis is reversed – let children be born,” in reference to the increasingly low birth rate in the Balkan country.
