Feast day of Nikon the Holy Martyr, & his 200 Companion Martyrs

The Church today venerates the memory of Nikon, the Holy Martyr of Sicily & his 200 Companion Martyrs.

Today is also the feast day of Luke the New Martyr of Mytilene, who achieved the crown of martyrdom in 1802.
