The Church today venerates the memory of Probus, Andronicus and Tarachus, Martyrs of Tarsus.
The holy Martyrs contested for Christ during the reign of the Emperor Diocletian in the late fourth century or early fifth century. They were arrested together in Cilicia, and subjected to exceedingly cruel tortures before achieving the crown of martyrdom.
Today is also the feast day of Symeon, the New Theologian.
