The Patriarch of Jerusalem, His Beatitude Theophilos III, on Tuesday celebrated the feast day of the Prophet Elijah from Thesbis, as based on the Julian calendar.
In honor of the Prophet at a Holy Monastery dedicated to His memory, located between Jerusalem and Bethlehem, a great Vespers was held on Monday afternoon, and the Divine Liturgy was celebrated the following morning.
The services were officiated by His Eminence Metropolitan Isychios of Kapitolias.
