Feast day of Sebastiane the Martyr

The Church today venerates the memory of Sebastiane the Martyr, who lived in the first century A.D. Baptized by the Apostle Paul, the saint tirelessly proclaimed the message of Christ. She was arrested, tortured, exiled and finally beheaded for her faith.
