Today, Jan. 3, marks the occasion of the discovery of the Holy Relics of St. Ephraim of Nea Makri, in 1950.
This 15th century saint achieved the crown of martyrdom after refusing to renounce his faith at the hands of invading Muslim raiders, in an area east of modern Athens.
Thousands of pilgrims from around the world annually arrive at a Holy Monastery of St. Ephraim in Nea Makri, atop Mount Amomon, to venerate the memory and pray before the Holy Relics of the Saint.
The first part of a documentary on the life, works and martyrdom of Righteous Martyr Ephraim the Younger has been posted today on the pages of Pemptousia television.
