A feature today on the webpages of the Orthodoxia News Agency profiles a Monastery dedicated to the Virgin Mary, on the eastern Aegean island of Chios, at the Pagousaina site.
The medieval monastery is located in the island’s north, some 52 kilometers from the capital city, and built on the slopes of a mountain, and directly over a spring that continues to supply the nearby village with its excellent drinking water.
