Foundation stone for new cathedral laid in Moldovan town of Cornesti

The foundation stone for a new cathedral was laid last Friday in the town of Cornesti, in west-central Moldavia, by the Metropolitan of Bessarabia, His Eminence Petru, who also consecrated the site during a ceremony attended by the Abbot of the Monastery of Cornesti, the municipality’s office-holders, clerics and numerous faithful.
The new cathedral will be dedicated to Sts. Arsenios and Nicholas.
