A blessing and the laying of a foundation stone took place on Sunday at the quake-devastated Church of the Prophet Elijah, in the town of Arkalochori, on the large island of Crete. The house of worship was completely destroyed during an earthquake last September.
The Metropolitans of Sitia and Rethymno, their Graces Kirillos and Prodromos, officiated at the ceremonies.
